2025 Conference

The second annual Menopause Society of Ireland Conference took place on Saturday, 13 September, at the impressive Dublin Royal Convention Centre. 2025 has been a landmark year for menopause care, following the Government’s introduction of free HRT and continued investment in the future health of people across Ireland.

The 2025 conference theme, “Midlife Health Matters: Invest Now, Save Later,” highlighted the importance of prioritising health at this critical stage of life to improve outcomes across the lifecourse. We were delighted to be joined by a fantastic lineup of speakers, including presentations from across Ireland who addressed the management of chronic conditions such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease in women experiencing menopause. International contributors from the United Kingdom shared expertise on contraception choices during perimenopause, progestins in HRT, and the management of migraine in menopausal women.

The enthusiasm and engagement shown throughout the conference underscore a growing momentum for menopause advocacy and research, indicating another year of innovation and collaboration ahead. The Menopause Society of Ireland remains committed to advocating for continued research and investment to demonstrate the long-term benefits of optimising midlife health, improving menopause care, and ensuring appropriate access to HRT. We look forward to building on this progress in 2026, continuing to raise awareness and improve healthcare outcomes for women across the nation.
