Dr Orla Conlon
Dr Orla Conlon graduated from Queens University Belfast in 1995. She completed her MRCOG in 2000 and became a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2007.
She worked as a Consultant in the Western NHS Trust in Northern Ireland for 9 years, 5 of which were as Lead Clinician.

In 2014 the RCOG awarded Dr Orla Conlon elevation to Fellowship recognising her dedication to women’s health throughout her career.

From 2008 she started working in private practice, now working full time. She has the unusual position in working on both sides of the border.
Dr Conlon is the Medical Director of Marble Arch Health with clinics in Enniskillen and Galway. She carries out surgery in Kingsbridge Private Hospital, Sligo and at Blackrock Health, Galway Clinic. She is currently a member of the Medical Advisory Committee of the Galway Clinic.
In 2018 she graduated as an Associate of the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland.
Dr Conlon also spent 5 years working in the Child Abuse and Rape Enquiry Unit (CARE), Belfast with the Police Service of Northern Ireland. She also holds a Diploma in Psychosexual Medicine.
She has always had an interest in menopause, setting up the first HRT clinic in Altnagelvin Hospital, Derry more than 20 years ago.
Other special interests include management of menstrual disorders, treatment of uterine fibroids, management of urinary incontinence, vaginal surgery for uterovaginal prolapse, colposcopy, vulval disorders, recurrent miscarriage , psychosexual disorders and premenstrual dysphoric disorder.
Dr Conlon is currently the Irish representative on the ISSVD Committee (International Society for the Study of Vulval Disease) for international vulval awareness day.

Diploma in Obstetrics Ultrasound (RCOG/ RCR),
RCOG Special Skills Module in Gynaecological Imaging,
BSCCP Accreditation in Colposcopy.

IMS, NAPS, IAPMD, ISSVD, ESGE, WIMIN, Ulster Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society.
Dr Conlon has organised and presented at many national and international conferences and has several publications in peer review journals.
She has also been involved in many GP education programmes.
Dr Conlon enjoys Pilates but says she would much prefer performing a vaginal hysterectomy than cooking a dinner!
